GOLDEY-BEACOM SWEEPS GOLF WEEKLY AWARDS FOR THIRD STRAIGHT TIME

NEW HAVEN, CT - Wes Hood and Tyler Harman of Goldey-Beacom College have been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player and Rookie of the Week for golf for the week ending Sunday, April 5. Hood is the third different member of the Lig htning to earn Player of the Week honors this season.
Hood, a sophomore from Chesapeake City, MD, placed second at the 16-team Goldey-Beacom Invitational last weekend. He fired rounds of 78 and 70 (+4) and finished just three shots behind the winner.
Harman, a freshman from Dover, DE, was named Rookie of the Week for the second straight week. He was the rop rookie finisher at the Goldey-Beacom Invitational after carding rounds of 71 and 81 (+8) to tie for seventh place.
Honorable Mention
Joe Leardo, Felician (So., 6-0, Belleville, NJ) - Finished fourth invididually at the GBC Invite. On day 2, tied own school record with a 72, becoming the first player in program history to shoot par.
Jonathan Radick, Holy Family (Jr., Richboro, PA) - Tied for seventh place at the GBC Invitational after shooting rounds of 79 and 73.
CACC Notes
Felician - Sophomore Joe Leardo set an individual 36-hole event school record (149) and tied his own 18-hole mark (72) at last Monday and Tuesday's Goldey Beacom Spring Invitational. On Tuesday he became the first player in the four-year history of the program to shoot an even-par round - his previous 72 last season was on a par 71 course.
Goldey-Beacom - GBC Golf is currently ranked 6th in the East
Region.
