How it Happened

- Borsellino threated to score with her third shot of the half in the 34th minute but sent her opportunity high to keep the game scoreless.
- Caldwell generated one opportunity in the 37th minute, but senior Shannon Kilian made a save to keep the game knotted at zero heading into halftime.
- Senior Erin Fogarty generated the first scoring chance in the second half, with a left-footed shot that forced Caldwell goalkeeper Ariana Gaminara to make a save at the far post, five minutes in.
- The road team responded in the 57th minute with two shots, but with one going high and the other shot blocked, the game remained scoreless.
- In the 71st minute, a free kick into the bottom left corner from Kennedy broke the seal and put the Lions ahead, 1-0.
- The cardinal and white continued to put pressure on the Caldwell back line and in the 88th minute Kennedy off a feed from graduate student Lauren Marinello to solidify the win, 2-0.
