MACKEY RECEIVES HONORABLE MENTION HONORS ON PING ALL-AMERICA TEAM
Orangeburg, NY--Dominican College golfer, Brian Mackey, has received honorable mention honors for the 2008 Division II PING All-America Team, which was announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America last week.
Mackey, a senior from Chestnut Ridge, NY, recently finished in a tie for 32nd place at the NCAA Division II Championship held at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, TX. He won the NCAA Division II Northeast/East Super Regional Tournament in stunning fashion after sinking a 75-foot putt to force a playoff hole, which he eventually won to advance to the Championships.
A two year captain for the Chargers, Mackey was named to the All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Golf Team for four years and earned PING All-Northeast Region honors for the third consecutive year this season.
