Early Scoring Pushes Wilmington Past STAC, 5-0

Sparkill, N.Y. -  The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Soccer team dropped a 5-0 non-conference result to Wilmington University (Del.) on Wednesday afternoon at Spartan Field.

STAC falls to 2-7-1 on the year, while Wilmington improves to 6-2-2.

Sharon Freire Omonigho, Julia Yuhase, Evelyn Payne, Amelia Aquino and Brianna Wons all tallied goals for the Wildcats in the match, while Manuela Restrepo registered a three-point day with a trio of assists. 

Ileana Santiago, Rachel Brownell, Ella Connolly, and Arianna Tribble posted a shot apiece on frame for the Spartans, and saw them all saved by Wilmington keeper Mio Nakajima (W, 6-2-2).

Haley Liss (L, 2-5) got the start in net for STAC and made three saves on seven shots, before being replaced by teammate Catalena Robson for the second half. Robson stopped two of three shots over the final 45 minutes.
