STAC Women's Lacrosse Upended By Post, 10-4

Sparkill, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Lacrosse team saw its two-game win streak come to a screeching hault on Wednesday afternoon with a 10-4 loss to Post University at Spartan Field.

STAC slips to 2-3 on the season, while Post improves to 2-1.

Sophomore Ella Entress led the Spartans' offense with two goals on the afternoon, while junior Katelyn Cerrato and graduate student Hailey Galison tallied a goal each. Freshman goalie Lilah Magenheimer (L, 2-3) got the start between the pipes for the maroon and gold and stopped 11 of 21 shots faced.

Meanwhile, Post was led by Hailey McHenry, Cara Distefano, Roksana Debicka and Klara Domachowski, who all scored two goals apiece. Teammates Lotanna Nwabudu and Anna D'Angelo also added to the totals with a goal each. Goalie Lauren Bain (W, 2-1) made nine saves to help secure the victory.

  • Ella Entress tallied a game-high eight shots (five on goal) for the Spartans.

  • Post won 13 of 18 draw controls, despite the wet conditions.
