Lakewood, N.J.-Holding a 37-34 lead with 2:41 to play in the first half, the host Georgian Court University Lions closed out the opening stanza on a 9-2 to take a 46-37 at the half on their way to an 86-72 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men's basketball win over the visiting University of Bridgeport Purple Knights in New Jersey on Saturday afternoon.
Bridgeport is now an even 10-10 overall this season and 6-6 in conference action. GCU is also 10-10 overall and moves to 6-5 in the CACC.
Senior Malcolm Moye (Windsor, Conn.) led the Purple Knights in scoring with 17 points on Saturday, and he was joined in double figures by classmate Mason Williams (Voorhees, N.J.) with 10 points; marking the fourth straight game he has reached double digits and the tenth time this season.
