WATERBURY, CONN – The Bears volleyball team suffered their 2nd consecutive road defeat on Wednesday night when they traveled to take on Post University. The first test in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play for Bloomfield ended in a 3-0 setback against the Eagles.
The Bears record moved to 0-2 on the young season and 0-1 in conference play. The victory marked the first win of the year for Post and improved their overall record to 1-7 and 1-0 in CACC action.
The visitors offensive was paced by Lauryn Hansford who registered 18 assists to go along with 7 digs and 3 service aces for the match. Bear of the Week, Nathaly Flores recorded seven kills, five digs and two service aces. Esther Dogbe and Ronaya Moore each had seven kills on the night while Sophia Wintonick and Amanda Arroyo each contributed eight digs for Bloomfield.
Bloomfield continues CACC action next week Tuesday when they travel to Rutherford to take on Felician University. The league battle with the Golden Falcons is set for a 7:00 pm start in the Job Arena.
