Women's Tennis Drops Road Contest to District of Columbia
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Thomas Jefferson University women's tennis (1-2) suffered another close loss as they fell on the road to the University of the District of Columbia (1-0) in non-conference action this Friday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
After the Firebirds took the third doubles match, Charly Egger and Emily Frost took the second doubles match 6-3 to the tie the match up 1-1.
In singles competition, Rose Huang took the third singles match 6-4, 6-4 while Manni Zhang earned a victory in the four singles contest 2-6, 6-1, 7-5. District of Columbia was able to earn victories in the first, second, and fifth singles matches to take the 4-3 team win.
