Women's Soccer Falls 5-0 in Season Opener at Holy Family

Philadelphia, Pa. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Soccer team dropped a 5-0 decision to Holy Family University, in the Spartans 2023 season opener on Thursday afternoon at Tiger Field in the City of Brotherly Love.

Holy Family received goals first half goals from Alyssa Hooten (5th Minute) and Brynn Hess (37th Minute), while Rebecca Casper (49th Minute), Lexi Murphy (51st Minute) and Allison Loper (85th Minute) each tallied second half scores. Hess and Loper finished the afternoon with a goal and an assist apiece.

Sophie Stanley posted two shots on frame for the Spartans, but saw them both saved by Tigers keepers Kristen Conway and Jaina Preuhs (W, 1-0).

Catalena Robson (L, 0-1) got the start in net for STAC and stopped two of four shots in 45 minutes of action, before Haley Liss entered the contest to start the second half. Liss made four saves on seven shots faced.
