BLOOMFIELD, NJ – Caldwell University came to town Wednesday night and handed the men's soccer team a, 5-0 setback in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play. The defeat dropped Bloomfield to a 1-5 overall record and a 0-2 mark in league competition while the Cougars improved their perfect record to 5-0 for the season and 1-0 in conference matches.
The visitors seized control of the game with two goals in the opening half as they outshot the Bears, 12-6. The offensive attack continued for Caldwell as they added 3 goals in the 2nd half and once again doubled the home team's shot output, this time, 14-7. Jomar Vizcaino picked up the loss in goal as he made ten saves in 90 minutes of work.
Bloomfield will have some time off to rest before their next contest on the pitch coming against Wilmington University on September 30th. The Saturday CACC showdown on the road is set for a 3:30 PM start as the Wildcats celebrate their Homecoming.
