Women's Basketball: Ravens take down Bridgeport 71-58 in Day Two of Conference Challenge Tournament

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y (11/12/2023) -- On the final day of the 2023-2024 Conference Challenge Tournament, the Franklin Pierce women's basketball team defeated the University of Bridgeport 71-58 to improve to 2-0 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Senior guard Anna Badosa Soler (Girona, Spain) led all scorers with 25 points, shot 5 for 9 from the field, and was 14 for 16 from the free-throw line. 
• Senior forward Colette Mulderig (Scranton, PA) had 17 points and shot 8 for 14 from the field. 
• The Ravens outscored the Purple Knights 45-26 in the first half.  

BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS:
• Franklin Pierce shot 44% from the field (24 for 55). Bridgeport shot 38% from the field (23 for 61)
• Franklin Pierce shot 20% from behind the arc (2 for 10). Bridgeport shot 19% from behind the arc (4 for 21).
• Franklin Pierce shot 84% from the free throw line (21 for 25). Bridgeport shot 57% from the free-throw line (8 for 14). 

NEXT UP FOR THE RAVENS:
• The Franklin Pierce Ravens hit the road to Manchester, NH, for their first Northeast-10 Conference game of the season on Wednesday, November 15, against Southern New Hampshire with tip-off at 5:30 p.m.
