Women's Lacrosse Falls At Bridgeport, 14-5

Bridgeport, Conn. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Lacrosse team allowed ten consecutive first half goals to the University of Bridgeport in a 14-5 loss at UB Knights Field on Saturday afternoon.

STAC slips to 3-4 on the season, while Bridgeport improves to 5-1.

Ella Entress led the Spartans' offense with two goals on the afternoon, while McKenzie Schlechtweg, Katelyn Cerrato and Meghan Tatantino tallied a goal apiece. Goalie Lilah Magenheimer (L, 3-4) got the start between the pipes for the maroon and gold and stopped 2 of 16 shots faced.

Meanwhile, Bridgeport was paced by Danielle Kreitler with five goals and three assists. Tara Dimaio added two goals and three assists, while Megan Kreitler tallied two goals. Teammates Max McDermott (1 goal, 1 assist), Elizabeth Pitts (1 goal, 1 assist), Emily Stuart (1 goal, 1 assist), Tereza Kreuzova (1 goal), Cassidy Dalton (1 goal) also added to the totals for the Purple Knights. Goalie Jacklyn Mellia (W, 5-1) made 12 saves to help secure the victory.
