CACC Women's Lacrosse Weekly Honorees (4-15-24)
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Erica Ortiz (Dominican) - Logged 18 goals and four assists for 22 points in a 3-0 week. Exploded for eight goals on 15 shots while assisting on two other markers for 10 points in a huge 23-16 road win over Wilmington to give the Chargers sole possession of first place in the CACC. Also had 27 draw controls and five ground balls collected during the week. Became the school's all-time leader in draw controls versus STAC and notched her 200th career point.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Tiana Cipot (Caldwell) - Totaled five points on four goals and one assist last week. Notched a hat-trick in a win over Felician. Totaled six shots with four going on net.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Tara Dimaio (Bridgeport) - In a 2-0 week, she totaled 12 caused turnovers, eight ground balls and three draw controls.
GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Cadence Gentile (Georgian Court) - Posted a 2-0 mark in net last week and logged a total of 15 saves on 22 shots faced. Produced a 68.2% save percentage and a 4.00 goals against average.
HONOR ROLL
Riley O'Connor (Georgian Court) - Had 15 points in a 2-0 week for Georgian Court with 11 goals and four assists.
Rianna Shields (Holy Family) - Scored three goals, had four ground balls and caused three turnovers against Bridgeport.
Tala Marzooq (Caldwell) - Had six goals, two assists and 11 draw controls in a 1-1 week.
Mary Gazaleh (Felician) - Scored eight goals and had seven draw controls in a 1-1 week.
Danielle Kreitler (Bridgeport) - Scored eight goals in a 2-0 week.
Molly Killion (Chestnut Hill) - Scored twice and had five ground balls against Felician.
Makenzie Stritzinger (Wilmington) - Had 10 points, seven goals and three assists as well as six ground balls over two games.
