GREATNESS IN 60 SECONDS: Jefferson
NEW HAVEN, Conn. (October 13, 2021) -- The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) is celebrating its 60th Anniversary during the 2021-22 academic year. Each week from late September through late November during the fall 2021 season, the CACC will honor some of the great individuals and teams of its 13-member institutions. This week's series looks at Thomas Jefferson University (previously known as Philadelphia University), including women's cross country great Sarah Simonetti, men's basketball star Peter Alexis, the 2011 women's cross country team, and the 2009-10 men's basketball team.

The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference is an NCAA Division II Conference composed of 13 institutions in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The member institutions are Bloomfield College, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican (N.Y.) College, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Nyack College, Post University of Waterbury, Thomas Jefferson University, University of the Sciences, and Wilmington University.
