CACC Men's Track & Field Weekly Honorees (4-2-24)
TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Ashwin Jood (Goldey-Beacom) - Ran an NCAA DII Championship Provisional Qualifying time of 47.09 in the 400m at the Raleigh Relays. He finished second in the event. It marked the second event he has met a provisional mark, as he did so in the 200m last week.
TRACK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Jan Biskup (Felician) - Finished first in the 400m hurdles with a CACC Championship qualifying time of 56:10 at the Ramapo Invite. It marks the fastest time in the CACC in the event this season. He also ran a CACC qualifying standard time in the 110m hurdles with a mark of 16.59 at the Ramapo.
FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Nishorn Pierre, (Holy Family) - Pierre had an incredible weekend at the Danny Curran Invitational. He won the high jump with a NCAA DII provisional height of 6-8 feet. In the long jump, he posted a CACC standard jump of 22-5 feet. Lastly, in the triple jump he posted a CACC standard of 48 feet which leads the CACC.
FIELD ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Malicah Etienne (Georgian Court) - Threw a CACC Championship qualifying standard of 157-8 feet in the discus at the Monmouth Season Opener. The mark also leads the CACC this season. He also posted a CACC qualifying standard of 47-5 in the shot put which is second best in the CACC this year.
HONOR ROLL
Dan Wyshinski (Wilmington) - Broke Wilmington record in the 5000m with a CACC Championship Standard time of 15:15.54 at the Danny Curran Invitational. Currently the fastest time in the CACC this season.
Kyle Spector (Georgian Court) - Spector’s CACC Standard time of 4:02.49 in the 1500m at the Monmouth University Track & Field Season Opener is the fastest time in the CACC this season.
Chase Watson (Jefferson) - Ran CACC qualifying standard times in the 800m (1:56.61) and 1500m (4:08.95) at the Danny Curran Invitational.
Terrence Jones (Holy Family) - Broke his own school record with the fastest 110m hurdle time in the CACC this season, 14.54, to claim bronze in a field of 22 at the Danny Curran Invitational.
Cole Stanchina (Chestnut Hill) - Stanchina ran a CACC Championship Qualifying standard time of 31:29.64 in the 10000m at the Danny Curran Invitational. The time broke a school record and is the fastest in the East Region so far this season.
Devin Jones (Felician) - Met the CACC qualifying standard in both the long jump and triple jump at the Ramapo Invite. His long jump of 23-9 feet leads the conference while his triple jump of 44-2 feet is sixth best.
