CACC Baseball Weekly Honorees (4-22-24)
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
RJ Huth (Chestnut Hill) – Huth went 8-for-20 over six games for a .400 batting average. In those six games Huth had a double, a home run, two RBI and seven stolen bases (7-for-7 in attempts) as the Griffins went 3-2 for the week.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Jake Kelchner (Goldey-Beacom) - Kelchner had two wins in as many starts for the week. He allowed only two runs in 11.1 innings of work striking out 14 and had an ERA of 1.59.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Dylan Broderick (Chestnut Hill) - Broderick pulled double duty during the week as both a pitcher and a hitter. He started and won in his lone pitching appearance of the week against Goldey-Beacom allowing only two runs and striking out five. At the plate he was 3-7 with two of his hits being home runs.
HONOR ROLL
Matt Warrington (Jefferson) - Won in his start against Jefferson, allowing only one run in eight innings and also striking out eight.
Joe Christiana (Post) -In a complete game win over Caldwell, Christiana went nine innings striking out nine, allowing only three hits and zero runs given up.
Jack Martineau (Post) - Struck out seven while allowing only three hits in seven innings to earn a win over Caldwell.
Joshua Lopez (Jefferson) - Went 7-17 at the plate with a home run and seven RBI. He also scored six runs for the Rams.
Braden Kolmansberger (Goldey-Beacom) - Went 9-27 at the plate with seven RBI and two stolen bases over six games.
James Ackerman (Bridgeport) - Ackerman had a seven inning shutout against Goldey-Beacom allowing just four hits and striking out seven.
Chris Corchado (Post) - Batted .500 for the week with an OBP of .522 and scored six runs.
Marlon Rose (Chestnut Hill) - Made four appearances in relief last week earning two saves. In eight innings pitched he allowed no runs while striking out six.
Patrick Krempasky (Bridgeport) - Went 6-18 at the plate with two doubles, six RBI and stole three bases over five games.
