Felician Pitcher Selected as NCBWA East Regional Pitcher of the Week

RUTHERFORD, N.J. (April 19, 2024) - Felician baseball's ace, Mike Caldon (Matawan, N.J.), continues to rake in weekly awards from the mound when he garnered a National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) D2 East Regional Pitcher of the Week honors in their Thursday evening release.
This selection follows his Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Pitcher of the Week recognition where the conference highlighted the right-hander on his 1-0 record, with one save in game two versus the regionally ranked Goldey-Beacom College, with 13 strikeouts through 8.2 IP. He boasted a 0.00 ERA in the previous week and only surrendered four hits in two games played.
Founded in 1962, the NCBWA is dedicated to the advancement of college baseball. Membership is open to writers, broadcasters and publicists of the sport. Members receive a membership card, directory, newsletter updates and official votes in the Howser Award Player of the Year, Regional Player of the Year and NCBWA All-America voting. The NCBWA also sponsors preseason All-America awards, publication and writing contests
