CACC Notes
Bloomfield - The Deacons finished the regular-season with a record of 30-13 and 17-7 in the conference. Both totals marked the best records for the Deacons since becoming an NCAA member. BC's overall record this year marked a 12.5 game improvement from last season. Vickie Berardi became the first BC softball player to record 100 hits as an NCAA member. Brianne Moore walked just one batter and struck out 23 in 18 innings of work this week. The Deacons have finished in the top 4 in the CACC in two of the past three seasons.
Caldwell - After splitting a non-conference doubleheader at New Haven on Thursday, the Cougars won two of three game against CACC foes Georgian Court and Bloomfield over the weekend. A six-hit shutout by sophomore pitcher Brittany Pulido helped the Cougars defeat Georgian Court, 1-0 in the first game of a split with the Lions on Saturday. On Sunday, Pulido held Bloomfield to one run on seven hits in a 5-1 victory. Caldwell can clinch a share of the CACC regular-season crown and the top seed in this week's CACC Tournament with a win over Dominican on Monday, Apr. 27 in the season finale at Caldwell Field. The Cougars moved up one spot to fourth in last week's NCAA East Region rankings.
Dominican - The Chargers are currently riding a 16-game win streak. Senior OF Sarah Beck brok the CACC single-season RBI record Sunday during game 1 vs. USP. She now has 59 RBI this season. Freshman Deidre Jeppson broke the CACC single-season stolen base record after recording her 21st steal in game 1 against USP.
Felician - Sophomore IF Lauren DeGrushe broke the school single-season record for home runs with her eighth during Game 2 against Holy Family on Saturday. In Game 1 that day, Felician defeated the Tigers, 1-0, despite being no hit. Senior P Nicole Broecker tossed a three-hit shutout before she and senior CF Jenna Krowl were honored in Senior Day ceremonies.
Holy Family - Holy Family went 5-3 against CACC competition last week. Pitching led the Tigers as starters Angela DiBeneditto and Jody Searfoss posted ERA's of 0.25 and 0.58, respectively. Searfoss tossed two no-hitters giving her three in her career. She won her first no-hitter, 13-0 over Nyack, but lost the second one, 1-0 at Felician on an unearned run. Shortstop Carly Sippel paced the offense with a .448 average. Holy Family ends the regular season with a home make-up double-header against Goldey-Beacom. A split will give the Tigers the five seed in the CAC Championship Tournament.
USP - Samantha Tu (Trevose, Pa.) became the 7th softball player
in the program's history to record 100 career hits with a single in
game 2 vs. Dominican. Tu also became the first USP player to get 50

game 1 vs. Dominican was her 24th of her career, moving her into
2nd place on the Devils all-time list. Tu hit safely in all eight
games this week to close out the season with a nine game hitting
streak; she had hits in 35 of 42 games this year. Sophomore Dayna
Phillips (Rosenhayn, N.J.) also hit safely in all eight games this
