WOMEN'S BASKETBALL FALLS TO PACE UNIVERSITY

Following the contest, the Lady Chargers now stand at 6-5 on the season while the Setters improve to 4-7.
Guard Angelina DiMarsico (Stony Point, N.Y.) came off the bench to score a team best 11 points.
Alexis Suarez (Poughquag, N.Y.) netted nine points, four rebounds and three assists, while Olivia Levy (Stony Point, N.Y.) pulled down a team best six rebounds.
Freshman Cayla Howard (Naugatuck, Conn.) scored five points, with Tanasha Mills (New City, N.Y.) recording five points, four rebounds and four assists.
Lauren Hackett had a team best 11 points, while Arianna Stockinger pulled down a game best 10 rebounds.
The Lady Chargers trailed 24-21 with 3:32 left in the third quarter when the Lady Chargers went on an 11-0 run with DiMarsico scoring nine of the points (including back-to-back treys) to pull ahead, 32-24. A Setter jumper with a little over a minute left in the period closed out the third period with Dominican ahead, 32-26.
A Mills free throw with 59 ticks left in regulation gave Dominican the 39-38 edge, but five shots from the charity stripe by the Setters regained a 43-39 lead 11 seconds left. Graduate student Kristen Teklits (New Fairfield, Conn.) recorded the final two points for the Lady Chargers as she hit two free throws and a Setter foul shot closed out the game for the final 44-41 score.
Dominican returns to action on Sunday afternoon when they travel to non-conference opponent, the College of Saint Rose.
