The Lions took the lead for good against Southern Connecticut when sophomore Jessica Comiskey hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 1-1 tie and give the Lions a 4-1 lead. The Owls rallied in the top of the seventh to make things interesting, as Monica Savarese led off the inning with a home run. After an out was recorded, Julianne Flood singled and Khrystle Lee walked.
