Philadelphia, Pa. (1/14/23) The #16 Dominican University men's basketball team saw their 10 game winning streak come to an end today as the Chestnut Hill Griffins topped the Chargers, 88-84, in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action played in Sorgenti Arena.
Philadelphia, Pa. (1/14/23) The #16 Dominican University men's basketball team saw their 10 game winning streak come to an end today as the Chestnut Hill Griffins topped the Chargers, 88-84, in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action played in Sorgenti Arena.
The Chargers, who last loss to nationally ranked Bentley University back on November 26th, now stand at 15-2 overall on the season and 7-1 in conference play.
Guard Wahaad Johnson (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led all scorers with a career high 33 points in the loss. Johnson went 9-14 from the floor, 1-3 from the three-point arc and 14-17 from the charity stripe.
Justin Copman (Cumberland, Md.) netted 12 points and four rebounds, while Jaden Honis (Bridgewater, N.J.) tallied nine points.
Redshirt sophomore Seth Sharif-Brown (Hackensack, N.J.) pulled down a team best six boards.
The Griffins had five players in double figures, led by Amir Warrick who scored 24 points in the victory.
Dominican returns to action on Tuesday evening when they host Alliance University. Tip-off is slated for 7:30pm on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.
