Firebirds Fall to Tigers on the Road

PHILADELPHIA, PA- the University of the District of Columbia's men's basketball team fell to Holy Family University 54-87, Saturday afternoon at the Campus Center.

Ten Firebirds made their way onto the scoreboard with Hartnel Haye leading the way with 11 points, seven rebounds and two blocks. Eric Morgan Jr was the only other double-digit scorer with 10 points and Tevin Curtis added eight. 

UDC struggled from the field shooting at just 29.7%, 46.9% from the foul line and 7.7% from behind the arc. Tigers shot at 45.5% from the field 38.2% from the three point line and 70% from the foul line.  Holy Family had the advantage in rebounds 50-43, and 40 of their points came from their bench.

Up next UDC (4-7, 2-2 ECC) will head to Georgian Court on January 4th to continue their non conference match ups. The game is slated to begin at noon.
