RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Kathy May Hill of Totowa has resigned as the head softball coach at Felician College, director of athletics Ben DiNallo Jr. announced today.
Citing family concerns, Hill leaves Felician after eight seasons. She is the softball program's all-time winningest coach, posting a record of 149-152. The 2002 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year, she guided the Golden Falcons to four CACC Tournaments, including a pair of third-place finishes, and the 2006 ECAC playoffs.
"I have mixed emotions regarding Kathy's resignation," DiNallo said. "I'm happy for her personally that she is moving on to another phase in her life, but I am sad to lose such a valued member of our athletic department. Kathy's contributions to our department and our student-athletes have been exemplary over her time here at Felician and we wish her and her family all the best."
At the time of her resignation, Hill was the longest serving active head coach in any sport at Felician, an NCAA Division II member.
