NEWARK, Del. - - Goldey-Beacom's Rory Ciszkowski hit nine three-pointers as the Lightning won the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference crosstown rivalry game, 78-46, over the Wilmington University women's basketball team on Tuesday night at the WU Athletics Complex.

Goldey-Beacom outshot the Wildcats, shooting 50 percent from the floor and hitting 13-of-30 from beyond the three-point arc. The Wildcats shot 25.9 percent from the floor for the game and just 3-for-19 from deep.

The Lightning's Rory Ciszkowski, a St. Elizabeth's graduate, shot 3-for-4 from downtown in the first quarter, as the Lightning used an 8-0 run to take an 11-4 lead. Her final three-pointer of the quarter gave the Lightning an 18-7 lead after the opening 10 minutes.

Another 11-0 run gave the Lightning a 31-10 lead and a turnover in the final seconds allowed the Lightning to hoist up a shot at the buzzer, sinking it to take a 35-14 lead into the halftime break.

The Wildcats used a 5-0 run to cut the deficit to 44-26 late in the third, and Aniyah Bond had a chance to cut it to a 15-point game with a second-chance three-pointer, but her shot was off the mark. The Lightning came down and hit a three-pointer at the other end to thwart the Wildcats' momentum. Aniyah Bond hit a three-pointer to make it an 18-point lead but the Lightning scored five of the final six points of the quarter to lead 54-32 after three quarters.

Goldey-Beacom won the fourth quarter, 24-14, to put the game away, taking as large as a 35-point lead late in the contest.

Mia Fuller led the Wildcats with 13 points and five rebounds while Aniyah Bond scored 10 points and grabbed five rebounds. Goldey-Beacom's Rory Ciszkowski finished with 32 points and nine rebounds in the win.

The Wildcats are on the road for their next two games, first with a trip to Bloomfield on Saturday. The opening tip is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. in Bloomfield, New Jersey.
