Men's Lacrosse Shut Out At Post University

Waterbury, Conn. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Lacrosse team suffered a 21-0 defeat at the hands of Post University, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon LaMoy Field.

STAC (2-5) was outshot 46-19 (32-7 on goal) in the rainy contest. Goalie Craig Peavy (L, 2-5) stopped 11 of 32 shots faced.

Tim Keefe tallied five goals and five assists for the Eagles (3-3), which led 7-0 at the end of the first quarter. Teammate Robbie McGrayne also scored five times on the afternoon. Dylan Heald (3 goals, 3 assists), Ryan Denike (2 goals, 2 assists), Hayden Hindman (2 goals, 2 assists), Noah Piette (2 goals, 1 assist), Leighton Cook (1 goal, 1 assist) and Nick Steele (1 goal) also added to the totals on the stat sheet for Post.

Joseph Casarella (3), Michael Huff (2), Austin Palen (1) and Ryan Christensen (1) accounted for the Spartans seven total shots on net.

Austin Palen scooped up a game-high eight ground balls for the maroon and gold, while James Staeckeler tallied the only caused turnover for the Spartans.

Palen also won 14-of-21 faceoffs for St. Thomas Aquinas, with Joseph Longobardo and James Guild combining to go 0-for-3 on draws.
