NEW HAVEN, CT - Kyle White of Goldey-Beacom College has garnered Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week accolades for the week ending Sunday, March 1. Antoine Obery of Felician College was tabbed Rookie of the Week.
White, a 5-10 junior guard from Georgetown, DE, led the Lightning to a double-overtime victory over Chestnut Hill on Tuesday to give GBC a home game in the quarter-final round of the CACC Tournament. He scored 28 points on 7-for-10 shooting, along with six rebounds and three assists. He also converted 12-of-13 attempts from the charity stripe.
Obery, a 6-3 freshman guard from Roselle, NJ, recorded a double-double in Felician's regular-season finale at Post University with 22 points on 10-for-12 shooting, 10 rebounds, four blocks and three assists. His 22 points and four blocks were season-highs.

Gage Daye, Bloomfield (So., G, 6-2, Newark, NJ) - Tossed in 34 points and added five assists and four steals in a victory at Nyack.
Mike Yocum, Philadelphia (Sr., C, 6-8, Dresher, PA) - In a 2-0 week, averaged 16.0 points, 11.0 rebounds and shot 13-for-18 (.722) from the field.
Brandon Romain, Post (Fr., G, 6-3, Brooklyn, NY) - Registered 25 points, three rebounds and three steals in a win over Felician.
Carl Augustin, Caldwell (Sr., G, 6-4, Stony Point, NY) - In two games, averaged 19.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per-game.
CACC Notes
Bloomfield - In Tuesday's come from behind victory over Nyack, Wilson Pilarte netted a three-pointer with four seconds remaining to give the Deacons their first lead of the evening. In the win, Gage Daye had his 5th 30+ point game this season, netting 34 points on 9-21 shooting and also tallying an impressive five assists and four steals. Omari Knox also added 14 points on 6-11 shooting and Ahmad Harris led the Deacons on the glass with six rebounds and also tallied eight points and four assists.
Caldwell - The Cougars clinched their fifth consecutive berth in the CACC Tournament with Tuesday's 84-79 victory over Dominican. Senior forward Manny Perez had 21 points and 11 rebounds, while classmate Carl Augustin registered 20 points. Against Philadelphia on Friday, Caldwell came back from a 17-point halftime deficit to take the lead in the final minute of play, only to have the Rams take a 63-57 win in the regular-season finale. Augustin led all scorers with 18 points. Perez notched his second straight double-double with 14 points and 11 boards, giving him six double-doubles for the season. The Cougars are the fourth seed in the North in the CACC Tournament and will play at Bloomfield on Tuesday, Mar. 3 in the first round.
Felician - With its CACC first-round draw at Post University,
Felician will meet the Eagles for the third consecutive Tuesday.
Holy Family - Holy Family closed out its regular season with a 70-62 home defeat at the hands of Philadelphia University on February 24. Forward Justin Swidowski led four Tigers in double-figure scoring with 16 points. Center Jawara Stephenson had a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds. The Tigers ended the regular season at 8-19 overall and 7-9 in the CACC. Holy Family is the third seed in the CACC Championship Tournament and visit Goldey-Beacom for a quarterfinal game on Tuesday, March 3 in Wilmington, Del.
Philadelphia - The Rams closed out the regular season with a 63-57 win at Caldwell, led by Mike Yocum's 16 points/11 boards. Junior Malcolm Ingram had a strong performance earlier in the week with 25 points vs. Holy Family. The Rams are currently riding a six-game win streak and will host Chestnut Hill Tuesday in a CACC Quarterfinal contest at 8 PM.
USP - With the loss to Wilmington, USP was eliminated from
qualifying for the post-season for the first time since the 1981-82
season. In the most recent NCAA statistics release, USP is ranked
13th nationally in scoring defense, allowing just 60.8 points per
game. The Devils are also second nationally in fewest personal
fouls committed per game at 14.4.
