Orangeburg, N.Y. - Dominican College of Blauvelt Director of Athletics, Joseph S. Clinton, has announced that Howard McNiff has been named the new head women's cross country and track and field coach. "I would like to welcome Howie to our coaching staff," Clinton said. "He is legendary in this area in the sport of running and I am confident that he will be able to make our women's cross country and track and field teams into one of the strongest programs in our conference and in the northeast."

PHILADELPHIA - Allison Eberly of Chestnut Hill College, Taylor Falvey and Alyssa Litty of Philadelphia University joins University of the Sciences Brianna Ligotski on the Philadelphia Inquirer Women's Cross Country Academic All-Area Team. The team is voted on by the 28 area sports information offices.

Bronxville, N.Y. – Concordia College (N.Y.) Athletics Director Ivan Marquez announced the hiring of a new head coach and assistant coach for the cross country programs on Wednesday morning. Laura Brezovsky (’13) will serve as head coach and Will Deitte (’12) will join her as an assistant coach for the upcoming season.

BLOOMFIELD, N.J. – Bloomfield College has hired Elson Smajlaj as head coach of the institution's men's and women's cross country programs, athletic director Sheila Wooten announced today. A 2012 graduate of Bloomfield and a four-year member of the men's cross country team, Smajlaj was a three-year captain for the Deacons and one of the top runners in the CACC during his stellar college career. Also a standout in the classroom, Smajlaj earned three consecutive CACC Fall All-Academic Team selections from 2009-2011, concluding his Bloomfield tenure as one of the model student-athletes within the institution's athletic department.

University of the Sciences women’s cross country runner Kristin Waters has been named to the Division II Capital One Academic All-District women's track & field/cross country team for District I. Waters was one of ten cross country/track and field athletes selected from schools in the East Region. The team is voted on by the sports information directors from the East region schools.

Philadelphia, Pa., – University of the Sciences athletes Courtney Spina and Kristin Waters were announced as the 2013 recipients of the first Paul E. Klimitas Honorary Scholarship. Established in 2012, the Paul E. Klimitas Honorary Scholarship bestows two awards of $1,000 annually to extraordinary intercollegiate athletes who demonstrate "strong commitment to excellence in the classroom, in athletic competition, and in the community."
