WATSON TABBED HEAD BASEBALL COACH AT BLOOMFIELD COLLEGE

BLOOMFIELD, NJ - Bloomfield College Director of Athletics Sheila Wooten has announced the hiring of Jeff Watson as Head Baseball Coach for the Deacons. Watson takes over for Matt Belford, who had been the Deacons' Head Baseball Coach for seven years.
Last season, Watson served as an Assistant Coach for the Deacons baseball team. On game days, Watson served as the Deacons' third base coach and oversaw the team's hitting workouts. His responsibilities also included working as a chief recruiter for the program.
A graduate of West Milford (NJ) High School, Watson was a two-sport athlete at American International College. Watson was a 3-Time All-Northeast 10 Conference player at AIC where he holds the school's career records for hits, doubles and RBIs. In football, he received the David Zanin Award and was a key player on AIC's back-to-back conference championship teams.
Prior to working at Bloomfield, Watson was a sales representative in the pharmaceutical industry. Watson graduated from AIC with a degree in Business Management. He currently resides in West Milford.
