22 S-As Named to 2023 CACC MXC All-Academic Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (December 12, 2023) -- Twenty-two (22) student-athletes on Tuesday were named to the 2023 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Cross Country All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. Nine of the 11 schools that competed in the sport in 2023 had at least one student-athlete named to the academic team.
Chestnut Hill College and Georgian Court University each led the way with four honorees on the team, while CACC Champion Wilmington University was one of two schools to post three athletes on the unit (other being Holy Family University).
NOTES ON ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
♦ Four student-athletes notched GPAs of 3.90 or higher (CHC's Jason Fisher, GCU's Kyle Spector, HFU's Michael McGerry and Thomas Jefferson University's Mason Moore).
♦ Six were named to the CACC Women's Volleyball All-Academic Team for the third time in their respective careers.
♦ Six were named to the unit for the second time in their respective careers.
To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must: a) Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of immediate preceding term (may include summer for fall sport participants); b) Minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) Student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution.

The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference is an NCAA Division II Conference composed of 12 institutions in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The member institutions are Bloomfield College, University of Bridgeport, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Dominican (N.Y.) University, Felician University, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Post University, Thomas Jefferson University, and Wilmington University.
