CACC Men's Track & Field Weekly Honorees (3-26-24)
TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Ashwin Jood (Goldey-Beacom) - Jood won both of his events, 100m and 200m, at the Stockton Invitational. In the 200m he ran an NCAA Division II Championship Provisional Qualifying Time of 20.96. Both marks were CACC Championship Qualifying marks as well.
TRACK ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Ke’nai Massiah (Goldey-Beacom) - Massiah had third-place finishes in both the 100m and 200m, running CACC Championship Qualifying Times in both with a 10.89 and 22.1, respectively.
FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Odane Smith (Holy Family) - Smith posted CACC leading marks as he won both the long jump and triple jump at the Doc Jopson Invitational. In the long jump, he broke a Holy Family school record with a 23-4 foot jump. He won the triple jump with a distance of 47-6 feet. Smith also won silver in the high jump with a height of 6-3 feet.
FIELD ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
John Panzera (Bridgeport) - At the Dr. Jack M. Toms Alumni Invitational, Panzera set PRs in pole vault (11-11 ¾) and javelin (135-0). He leads the CACC with the top pole vault mark and has the fourth best javelin throw.
