Wednesday’s Baseball Contest Against West Chester Postponed Until April 23

NEW CASTLE, Del. - - The Wilmington University baseball team can't seem to get its home schedule underway as the rain once again postponed its home opener against West Chester on Wednesday.

The game will now be made up as part of a doubleheader the next time the Golden Rams come to New Castle on April 23. The game will now be a part of two seven-inning games at Wilson Field, with the first pitch of game one scheduled for 1 p.m.

The Wildcats and its maintenance staff are still trying to get the field ready and have the weather cooperate for this weekend, as the team is schedule to welcome Franklin Pierce and Indiana (Pa.) come in for a three-team play weekend starting on Friday.
