FELICIAN TURNS BACK WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
Orangeburg, N.Y. (9/18/19) The Felician University Golden Falcons upended the Dominican College women's volleyball team, 3-0 (25-11, 25-16, 26-24), this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match played on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.

Following the match, Dominican is now 0-5 overall and 0-1 in conferenc play.
The third set was tied at 13-all when the Lady Chargers went on a 5-0 run with Essence Boyd (Peekskill, N.Y.), Emmalyn LaPier (Endicott, N.Y.) and Malia Robinson (Jersey City, N.J.) all recording a kill in the run to jump ahead 18-13. Felician would rally and later held a 24-22 edge, but kills from senior Deanna Knopf (Hauppauge, N.Y.) and LaPier made the score 24-24. The Golden Falcons closed out the set and match with back-to-back kills for the 26-24 set win and 3-0 match victory.
Knopf, Robinson, Gabrielle Napoleon (Springfield, Pa.) and Mykalee Chambers (Bronx, N.Y.) all had five kills in the loss. Napoleon finished the match with a .500 attack percentage, while Robinson had a .300 attack percentage.
Setter Boyd recorded 11 assists and two kills.
LaPier and Knopf led the team with six defensive digs each.
Dominican returns to action on Friday afternoon when they host a tri-match with Southern New Hampshire University and Millersville University.
