WOMEN'S LACROSSE DEFEATS HOLY FAMILY ON SENIOR DAY
Hillburn, N.Y. (4/23/19) The Dominican College women's lacrosse team defeated the visiting Tigers of Holy Family University, 17-11, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played at the Torne Valley Sports Complex.

With the win, Dominican improves to 5-8 overall and 5-3 in conference play.
Prior to the start of the contest, the team honored senior #10 Jenna Kelleher (Holbrook, N.Y.) in a ceremony.
Kelleher led all scorers in the game as she scored five goals and one assist with three draw controls.
Junior midfielder Jenna Fox (Stony Point, N.Y.) had a game high seven points with four goals and three assists, while Alayna Heegan (North Babylon, N.Y.) recorded four goals.
Melissa Peysson (East Meadow, N.Y.) tallied two goals and one assist for three points with Taylor Sobel (Oradell, N.J.) and Laurel Kennedy (Orangeburg, N.Y.) each netted a goal.
Goalie Rebecca Nutting (Marcellus, N.Y.) made 12 saves in the win.
Devon Felix led the Tigers with four goals, including her 100th career goal.
The game was tied 4-4 with 13:26 left in the first half when the Lady Chargers went on a 6-2 run to jump infront 10-6 at the intermission. In the second half, DC outscored their opponents, 7-5 for the final 17-11 win.
The Lady Chargers conclude the regular season this coming Saturday as they travel to Jefferson.
