Rutherford, N.J.-The University of Bridgeport men's lacrosse team wrapped up its Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game against Felician University that began on April first but was topped early in the third quarter due to the lights shutting off on the two teams, and the host Golden Falcons defeated the Purple Knights 10-7. UB is now 1-10 overall and 0-5 on conference, and Felician moves to 3-6 overall and 2-2 in the CACC.
UB got a hat trick from freshman James Napoli (Wantagh, N.Y.) in the game, and solo goals from Dewey Schoenfelder (Jr., Mt. Airy, Md.), Nick Whelan (Sr., Rockville Centre, N.Y.), Tyne Hewlette (So. Bayshore, N.Y.) and AJ Surian (Fr. Bayshore, N.Y.).
Schoenfelder finished with four points on the night, as he also had three assists in the contest.
Sophomore Peter Nazario (Framindale, N.Y.) made nine saves during his time in the UB net at Felician.
Up next, the UB men's lacrosse team will open a two-game homestand to conclude the team's inaugural season with a 3:00 p.m. conference clash on Saturday at Knights Field versus Georgian Court University.
