LAFAYETTE HILL, Pa. - - Multiple streaks came to an end for the No. 13 Wilmington men's soccer team on Tuesday, as Chestnut Hill took a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference decision, 3-0, at Victory Field #1 on the campus of Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School.

Despite leading the match in shots, 20-12, the Wildcats (6-2, 3-1 CACC) saw their four match unbeaten streak come to a close as they were shutout for the first time during the 2013 season. With the shutout, junior Elton Joe's streak of recording a point in all seven previous games has also come to an end.

Chestnut Hill (3-3-1, 2-1-1 CACC) got on the board in the 39th minute, putting Wilmington on its heels heading into the halftime break. The Griffins' Juan Amaya headed home a lob from Mushe Wamulume 38:09 into the contest to break the scoreless tie.

After the break, the Griffins used back-to-back goals by Charles O'Connell to stun the Wildcats who just moved up eight spots to No. 13 in Tuesday's release of the latest NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II National Poll. O'Connell scored unassisted goals in the 72nd and 79th minute to cap the scoring.

Lance Berry led the Wildcats with six shot, while Jordon Ellison and Joe each tallied five shots. Ellison and Berry put three of their shots on goal to lead the team. The Wildcats put eight shots total on goal, while the Griffins put seven of their 12 shots on goal, making three of them count.

Frank Hall made one save in the first half for the Wildcats before Chad Jenkins took over and made three saves in the second half. James Jackson made eight saves for Chestnut Hill for the shutout.

After playing four games in eight days, the Wildcats now have three days off before playing on Saturday. The men's team will cap Wilmington's Homecoming festivities over the weekend with its game against Caldwell starting at 3:30 p.m.
