Orangeburg, N.Y. (2/12/20) The Dominican College women's basketball team fell in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action this evening to the visiting Eagles of Post University, 59-53, in a game played on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.

The victory completes the series sweep for the Eagles, while Dominican (11-12, 9-5 CACC) remains in second place.
Khay'la Latimer (Teaneck, N.J.) and Taylor Tomlinson (Middletown, N.Y.) led the Lady Chargers with 16 points a-piece, with Latimer narrowly missing a double-double with a team best nine rebounds.
Junior Samantha McClutchy (Washington Township, N.J.) added nine points, while Ashley Merritt (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) dished out a team best five assists.
For the Eagles, Taylor Williams had a game best 21 points and Tai Pagan pulled down a game leading 13 caroms in the win.
Post maintained a 36-26 lead at the start of the third quarter and extended the lead to 43-26 with 7:11 on the clock. DC charged back into the contest by going on a 14-4 closing quarter run to cut the deficit to seven (47-40) heading into the final quarter.
Tomlinson nailed a jump shot with 4:59 on the clock to bring the Lady Chargers within a point (51-50), but Williams countered on the other end with a trey to help secure the victory.
Dominican returns to action this coming Saturday when they travel to CACC opponent, Goldey-Beacom College.
