MADURA LIFTS WOMEN'S SOCCER TO VICTORY OVER WILDCATS
Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/22/21) Dominican College's Alissa Madura (Warwick, N.Y.) lifted Dominican to a 1-0 victory over the visiting Wildcats of Wilmington University this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) played at the OMM Soccer Complex.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/22/21) Dominican College's Alissa Madura (Warwick, N.Y.) lifted Dominican to a 1-0 victory over the visiting Wildcats of Wilmington University this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) played at the OMM Soccer Complex.
Following the win, Dominican improves to 8-5 overall and 7-2 in conference play.
Both teams played a scoreless first half with each team taking six shots and Dominican holding a 4-2 lead in corner kicks.
Dominican got on the scoreboard at 79:28 when the freshman forward dribbled the ball past the WU defense into the box and put a shot past the Wildcat keeper into the lower left corner of the net for her first collegiate game winning goal.
Keeper Lauren Drummond (Kitchener, Ontario, Canada) made seven saves in the victory.
DC outshot WU for the contest, 18-15 and held the 6-3 advantage in corner kicks.
The Lady Chargers return to action on Tuesday afternoon when they host the College of Staten Island at the OMM Soccer Complex. Game time is slated for 2pm.
