WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TURNS BACK BEARS
Orangeburg, N.Y. (2/18/20) The Dominican College women's basketball team upended the visiting Bears of Bloomfield College, 87-63, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.

With the win, Dominican improves to 12-13 overall and 10-6 in conference play.
Dominican outscored their opponents, 25-9 in the first quarter and went into the intermission with a 54-29 advantage. DC would hold their biggest lead of the game with 47 seconds left in the third quarter as Katie Clarke (Cold Spring, N.Y.) scored a layup to make the score 74-37.
Korina Guerra (White Plains, N.Y.), Khay'la Latimer (Teaneck, N.J.) and Taylor Tomlinson (Middletown, N.Y.) all netted 14 points a-piece to lead the team. Latimer completed the game's only double-double with a career high 15 rebounds, while Guerra grabbed eight caroms and Tomlinson pulled down seven.
Sophomore Jaid Harrell (Kingston, N.Y.) scored 10 points and six rebounds with Naabea-Janaan Assibey-Bonsu (Central Islip, N.Y.) contributing nine points and five boards.
Guard Alexis Suarez (Poughquag, N.Y.) tied her career high with seven assists.
The Lady Chargers return to action this coming Saturday when they travel to CACC North Division foe, Caldwell University.
