WOMEN'S BASKETBALL STUMBLE IN FOURTH QUARTER AS SETTERS CLAIM VICTORY
Pleasantville, N.Y. (12/15/19) The Pace University women's basketball team used an 18-0 run in the fourth quarter to rally to a 75-56 victory in a non-conference game played at the Goldstein Fitness Center.

With the win, Pace improves to 9-3 overall while the Lady Chargers fall to 4-6.
Sophomore Taylor Tomlinson (Middletown, N.Y.) came off the bench to lead Dominican with nine points.
Korina Guerra (White Plains, N.Y.) and Jaid Harrell (Kingston, N.Y.) each netted eight points, while Harrell had a team leading eight rebounds and Guerra contributed five boards.
Guard Ashley Merritt (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) had a team best four assists and seven points.
Dominican trailed 7-2 with under six minutes remaining in the first quarter when the offense used a 13-3 closing quarter run to jump ahead 15-10. The Setters outscored DC 23-18 in the second frame to knot the score at 33-all at the break.
The third quarter saw Pace edge DC 20-19 in points to take a 53-52 lead heading into the final 10 minutes of play.
Merritt scored a layup to open the fourth quarter and put Dominican up 54-53, but the next 18 points went to the Setters as they pulled away to calim the 75-56 win.
The Lady Chargers continue their non-conference slate on Thursday evening when they host the University of New Haven on Coach Baxter Court at 7pm.
