The Eagles defeated the Lady Chargers by a score of 78-50 to improve to 15-7 (9-5 CACC). After the loss, the Lady Chargers fell to 14-12 (9-7 CACC).
DC was led by Taylor Tomlinson (Middletown, N.Y.) who finished the game with 17 points. Tomlinson also added six rebounds and three assists. Khay'la Latimer (Teaneck, N.J.) added nine points and a team-high seven rebounds.
Olivia Levy (Stony Point, N.Y.) scored seven points and recorded six rebounds. Alexis Suarez (Poughquag, N.Y.) and Jaid Harrell (Kingston, N.Y.) each added six points while Samantha McClutchy (Washington Township, N.J.) added five points and five rebounds.
For the Eagles, Sha'Raya Haines scored a game-high 23 points and recorded six rebounds. Makayla Thompson finished with 14 points and added four rebounds. Kyla Ramseur scored 13 points and finished with seven assists and five rebounds. Tai Pagan pulled down a team-high 14 rebounds and scored nine points.
In the first quarter, the Lady Chargers led for most of the quarter and the Eagles jumped out in front and held a three point lead at the start of the second quarter.
Post outscored DC 17-7 in the second quarter extending their lead to 13 points by halftime.
The Eagles extended their lead in the third quarter by scoring 30 points and holding DC to 16 points. The Eagles extended to their largest lead of the game in the third quarter which was 35 points.
The Lady Chargers will look to bounce back next Saturday, February 26th for their final game of the regular season. The Lady Chargers will host Nyack College at 1:00 PM and will also celebrate Senior Day.
