BASEBALL SPLITS WITH THOMAS JEFFERSON
Pomona, N.Y. (3/25/22) The Dominican College baseball team split a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) double-header with the visiting Rams of Thomas Jefferson University in games played tonight at Clover Stadium.

Pomona, N.Y. (3/25/22) The Dominican College baseball team split a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) double-header with the visiting Rams of Thomas Jefferson University in games played tonight at Clover Stadium.
With the split Dominican now stands at 4-16 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
Game One: The game was scoreless until the fifth inning when the Rams struck for three runs and added seven more in the sixth. Following a three-run top of the seventh, the Rams increased their lead to 13-0.
Richard Paulino (San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic) got the Chargers on the scoreboard with a two out three-run double to deep centerfield.
Game Two: The Rams held a 1-0 lead after two innings of play and maintained that lead until the bottom of the fifth when Paulino struck again, this time a two out two-run double down the right field line to lift DC to the 2-1 lead and eventual victory.
Paulino went 3-3 in the game with two RBI.
Starter Anthony Leak (Pelham, N.Y.) picked up the win (1-3), allowing one one on three hits and six strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings of work.
Robert Liriano (Haverstraw, N.Y.) earned his second save of the season, coming in to retire the final two batters.
Dominican returns to action on Sunday afternoon when they travel to Caldwell University.
