After the loss, the Chargers fall to 3-4-1 overall on the season. The Lions improve to 6-3-1 overall.
Lucas Silva Pereria (Divinopolis-MG, Brazil) started in goal for the Chargers. Pereria made three saves for the Chargers.
The Chargers took 28 total shots as a team but were not able to get on the board. DC recorded 11 shots on goal.
Maximino Casares Martinez (Valladolid, Spain) took a team-high six shots with two on goal. Ewan Gray (Middlesbrough, England), Antonio Zhu Sanchez (Alfafar Valencia, Spain), and Armando Morales (Jupiter, Fla.) each recorded four shots. Guilherme Pirana (Jundiai, Brazil) added three shots.
For the Lions, Nick Conklu made 11 saves in goal to earn the shutout.
Both teams played to a scoreless tie in the first half. At the 64:50 mark, Kenneth Garcia broke the scoreless tie with a goal off of a loose ball to give the Lions a 1-0 lead. Molloy would hold the lead and secure the win.
