BASEBALL TAKES DOWN NYACK
Pomona, N.Y. (4/11/22) The Dominican College baseball team downed the Warriors of Nyack College by a score of 13-3.

The Chargers improved to 10-20 (7-5 CACC) after the win.
Maverick Medina (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) took the mound for the Chargers and only allowed two runs over six innings pitched. Medina recorded five strikeouts and earned the win to improve to 1-3.
Bobby Garbuio (Chappaqua, N.Y.) finished with two hits including two runs scored and one RBI. Ethan Sarmiento (Warwick, N.Y.) added two RBIs and a double.
Benjamin Avila (Walden, N.Y.) and Bryant Bassett (Bronx, N.Y.) each recorded a double. Avila drove in one RBI. Tyler Patterson (East Meadow, N.Y.) and Richard Paulino (San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic) each added one RBI.
Max Chidsey (Naples, Fla.) drove in a team-high three RBIs for DC and added one run scored and one hit.
The Chargers scored their first two runs in the second and third innings. Sarmiento's RBI-double scored the first run of the game and DC scratched their second run of the game in the following inning.
The Chargers blew the game open in the fourth inning by scoring nine runs to extend the lead to 11-0.
The Warriors scored three runs in the sixth inning to get on the board and cut the deficit to 11-3. The Chargers added two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning when Max Chidsey hit a two-RBI sinlge and the Chargers finished off the win.
The Chargers will be back in action on Tuesday, April 12th when they travel to the College of Staten Island for a non-conference matchup with the Dolphins. The game is scheduled to begin at 3:30 PM.
