CHARGERS EARN TRIP TO CACC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
Orangeburg, N.Y. (11/12/21) The Dominican College men's soccer team will return to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Soccer Championship game for the second straight year after knocking off the #2 Wilmington University Wildcats, 2-0, this afternoon in a semifinal game played at LaMoy Field on the campus of Post University.

(11/12/21) The Dominican College men's soccer team will return to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Soccer Championship game for the second straight year after knocking off the #2 Wilmington University Wildcats, 2-0, this afternoon in a semifinal game played at LaMoy Field on the campus of Post University.
Dominican (12-5-2), the third seed, in the tournament advances to face the top seed and host, Post University, in the CACC Championship game slated for this coming Sunday at 1pm.
The game remained scoreless through the first half with the 'Cats (currently ranked third in this week's NCAA Super-Region 1 poll) maintaining a 7-1 advantage in shots and a 3-1 edge in corner kicks.
All-CACC forward, Marouf Barry (Bronx, N.Y.) got the Chargers on the scoreboard in the 54th minute of play with an unassisted goal.
DC added to the lead at the 80 minute mark when All-CACC midfielder Maximino Casares Martinez (Valladolid, Spain) took a shot from 50 yards out and put it over the keeper's head for the 2-0 lead and eventual victory.
Keeper Lucas Silva Pereria (Divinopolis-MG, Brazil) made two saves in the contest.
