MEN'S BASKETBALL EARNS CONFERENCE WIN OVER CHESTNUT HILL COLLEGE

Philadelphia, Pa. (1/5/20) The Dominican College men's basketball team downed the Griffins of Chestnut Hill College by a score of 90-70.
The Chargers improve their record to 11-3 (4-1 CACC) on the season and the Griffins drop to 2-12 (2-3 CACC).
The Chargers finished the game shooting 46.3% from the field while the Griffins finished shooting 37.9%.
The Chargers never trailed in the game. DC held a ten-point lead at halftime and extended to their largest lead of the game in the second half which was 26 points.
Tavon Ginyard (Brentwood, N.Y.) scored a team-high 24 points for the Chargers and added five three-pointers. Jonathan Garcia (Springfield, Mass) scored 14 points and recorded five rebounds and four assists.
Jason Copman (Cumberland, Md.) recorded a double-double for the Chargers with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Copman also recorded three blocks. Jalen Burgess (Springfield Gardens, N.Y.) also recorded a double-double for the Chargers by scoring 11 points and pulled down 13 boards.
For the Griffins, Amir Warrick led the way with a double-double by scoring 21 points and recorded 10 rebounds. Trevonn Pitts finished the game with nine points. Ahmad Bickley and Julius Phillips each finished the game with seven points.
The Chargers will be back in action when they host conference opponent Wilmington University on Saturday, January 11th at 3:00 PM.
