With the win Dominican improves to 6-17 and 3-2 in CACC play, while the Warriors fall to 0-8 and 0-4 in the conference.
Graduate student Max Chidsey (Naples, Fla.) went 2-3 with three runs scored and two RBI.
Benjamin Avila (Walden, N.Y.) and Richard Paulino (San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic) each had a hit and two RBI in the win, while Alexander Reyes (Bronx, N.Y.) scored two runs.
Starter Jaden Diaz-Lambert (Erial, N.J.) improved to 2-1 on the season, allowing one run on five hits and recording seven strikeouts.
The Charger offense wasted no time as they scored five runs in the top of the first on two hits. Runs scored on a sacrifice fly, a Warrior error and back-to-back hits from Chidsey and Reyes.
DC added two more runs in the top of the second on the one out two-run home run over the left field fence by Paulino to extend the lead to 7-0.
Chidsey led off the the top of the third inning with a solo home run and later Avila later doubled home two runs. A NC fielding error allowed two more runs to come home for the 12-0 advantage.
Back-to-back singles from Stefano Libio (Tamarac, Fla.) and Tyler Patterson (East Meadow, N.Y.) allowed three more runs to come home for the 15-1 lead and eventual win.
Dominican returns to action on Friday afternoon when they host Caldwell University. First pitch is scheduled for 12pm at Clover Stadium.
