FELICIAN UNIVERSITY RALLIES TO UPEND WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Orangeburg, N.Y. (12/4/21) The Dominican College women's basketball team dropped a tough 77-75 decision to the visiting Golden Falcons of Felician University this afternoon in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action played on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.

Taylor Tomlinson (Middletown, N.Y.) and Samantha McClutchy (Washington Township, N.J.) led the Lady Chargers offense with 14 points each. Tomlinson completed the double-double with 11 rebounds and two blocks, while McClutchy finished with seven boards as she shot 4-6 from the floor and 6-8 from the foul line.
Following the loss the Lady Chargers are now 6-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play, while Felician improves to 3-4 overall and 2-0 in the CACC.
Guard Tanasha Mills (New City, N.Y.) recorded 11 points in the loss.
The DC bench provided instant offense for the team as they accounted for 32 points.
For the Golden Falcons, Briana Lee had a game best 22 points and nine rebounds, while Courtney Logan added 19 points.
The game was tied at 24-all with 4:39 remaining in the second quarter when the Lady Charger went on a 12-0 tear to pull ahead 36-24 with just under a minute left in the half. A Rylee Carpenter (Shenendehowa, N.Y. ) trey with 13 ticks left gave DC the 39-26 advantage at the intermission.
Dominican led by as many ast 18 points (47-29) early in the third quarter following a three-point basket from Mills and went into the final frame ahead 62-51.
The fourth quarter belonged to the Golden Falcons as they outscored their counterparts, 25-14. Dominican led 69-59 with 5:45 to play when Felician went on a 16-6 run to tie the contest at 75-all with a little over a minute to go. Free throws from Lee and Logan lifted Felician to the 77-75 edge and the eventual win.
DC returns to action on Friday, December 10th when they host Pace University in non-conference action on Coach Baxter Court. Game time is slated for 6pm.
