Dominican is now 0-4 on the season, while UB improves to 3-3 overall.
The Lady Chargers held a 7-5 edge with 8:09 to play in the first half when UB rallied with five straight goals to take a 10-7 lead at the break. The Purple Knights would lead by as many as seven late in the contest, but Dominican closed out the game on a 3-0 run.
Junior attacker Alayna Heegan (North Babylon, N.Y.) recorded a season high seven goals in the contest to lead the Lady Chargers.
Jenna Kelleher (Holbrook, N.Y.) scored four goals and two assists for six game points, while Jenna Fox (Stony Point, N.Y.) tallied two goals and two assists.
Attacker Sarah Smith (Slate Hill, N.Y.) and Melissa Peysson (East Meadow, N.Y.) each had a goal in the loss.
Rebecca Nutting (Marcellus, N.Y.) made 10 saves.
Up next for Dominican is their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opener as they travel to Post University next Tuesday (3/26) afternoon.
