CHARGERS DOWN FELICIAN ON SENIOR DAY

The Chargers finished out the 2021 conference schedule with a 2-0 shutout over Felician to improve to 9-5-2 (7-2-2 CACC) on the season.
The Chargers celebrated their Senior Day and recognized the nine seniors on the team. The Chargers honored Jhosep Tovar (Pembroke Pines, Fla.), Giacomo Salvarezza (Genova, Italy), Ewan Gray (Middlesbrough, England), Maximino Casares Martinez (Valladolid, Spain), Marouf Barry (Bronx, N.Y.), Nicholas Julien (Spring Valley, N.Y.), Antonio Zhu Sanchez (Alfafar Valencia, Spain), Patryk Gruca (Garfield, N.J.), and Nicholas DiGuglielmo (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.).
Lucas Silva Pereria (Divinopolis-MG, Brazil) earned a shutout victory to improve to 9-3-2 on the season. Pereria made three saves.
The Chargers took 13 shots in the win. Gray led the team in shots with four and Guilherme Pirana (Jundiai, Brazil) took three shots.
Both teams played a scoreless first half. The Chargers broke the scoreless tie at 70:06 when Tovar scored off of a deflected shot from Martinez who recorded an assist.
Just over two minutes later, the Chargers extended their lead to 2-0 when Gray took a cross pass from Fredy Rosales-Santos (Norwalk, Conn.) and scored. The Chargers kept the lead and secured the victory.
The Chargers have one more game before the end of the regular season on Thursday, November 4th when they travel to non-conference opponent Mercy College at 2:00 PM.
