CHARGERS COMPLETE SEASON SWEEP OVER WARRIORS
Pomona, N.Y. (4/14/22) The Dominican College baseball team completed the season sweep over the Warriors of Nyack College with a 13-1 victory.

The Chargers outscored the Warriors 41-5 in the three game season series. DC improves to 11-23 (8-7 CACC) after the win.
Robert Liriano (Haverstraw, N.Y.) recorded the win on the mound for DC and pitched a solid 5.2 innings. Liriano allowed only one run and recorded eight strikeouts to help improve his record to 2-2 on the season.
The Chargers recorded 11 total hits as a team. Richard Paulino (San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic), Benjamin Avila (Walden, N.Y.), and Max Chidsey (Naples, Fla.) each finished with two hits.
Paulino added a double and drove in a team-leading three RBIs. Avila also added a double and drove in one RBI while Chidsey also finished with one RBI.
Ethan Sarmiento (Warwick, N.Y.) added two RBIs on two sacrifice flies. Alexander Reyes (Bronx, N.Y.) also added a double, one RBI, and scored three runs. Christian Fils-Aime (North Babylon, N.Y.) scored three runs, drove in one RBI, and recorded four stolen bases.
Tyler Richman (Sunrise, Fla.), Bobby Garbuio (Chappaqua, N.Y.), and Bryant Bassett (Bronx, N.Y.) all added one RBI.
The Chargers got off to a fast start with three runs in the first two innings. The Warriors scored their only run of the game in the top of the third inning when Alber Pichardo doubled to put Nyack on the board.
DC blew the game open with a seven-run fourth inning to extend out to a 10-1 lead. Back to back RBI-doubles by Reyes and Paulino got the scoring started for DC in the inning.
Sarmiento, Chidsey, Bassett, and Fils-Aime each recorded an RBI in the inning.
DC added three more runs over the next two innings on their way to the 13-1 victory and completed the season sweep over the Warriors.
The Chargers will be back in action on Monday, April 18th when they host the University of the Sciences for a CACC double header. Game one will start at 11:00 AM and game two will follow at 2:00 PM.
